Badminton court was innugurated in Bharat Nagar park by Chief Guest Shri Milind Subedar - President Lions Club, Dabolim.

A "Green Vision" by bab Wilfred Fernandes

Bab Wilfred Fernandes proposed a 'green cover' in Vidyanagar. The idea is to dig pits, fill with quality mud and plant roughly 51 sapplings that will grow into big trees. Individual residents came forward to adopt these sapplings and to ensure their growth into trees.

Aditional gym equipment was installed in Bharat Nagar park. These were donated by Shri Ganesh Lamani, Shri Johnson Pilliar, Shri Bharat Singh Rajput and Sheikh Ismail.

Anti-plastic drive

Anti-plastic drive (part I) jointly conducted by MES College Teachers and Association members. Amongst those who participated were: Dr. R B. Patil Sir (Ex Principal), Dr Sonal Thakkar, Sambargi, Kadam, Joshi and Meenakshi Bava (Ex Principal), Monesh Meti, Rafik Shaikh, Ganesh Lamani, Valmiki Nayak, Shantaram Desai, Stephen Johnson, Ashraf Ali ji, Anwar Sulekeri, Nazim Khan and Neel Dichoclkar. PCC College Prof. Adarsh Kumar Handa sponsored the Bags and gloves. Refreshments were sponsored by the MES College Teachers.

New transformer sanctioned

Repeated follow-ups by bab Santosh Desai and Madam Alina also yielded results when power Minister sanctioned a new transformer for installation at Bharat Colony.

Resident issue resolved

Thanks to follow up by out-going association president bab Santosh Desai, request for 3-phase connection for Suresh Naik of Park Street was sanctioned and completed through the office of Madam Alina Saldanha.

Bharatnagar Park renovation

It took a lot of hard work from all the residents of Bharat Nagar. Those involved were Mayuresh ji, Sunita ji, Acharya ji, Sakhalkar ji, Kangralkar ji, Hazare ji, A.K Das ji, Hongekar ji, Sharan Meti ji, Iqbal bhai, Yadav ji, Shayesh ji, Mohnish ji and bab Johnson Pillai. The Bharat Nagar open space was finally made useful by cleaning it and adding LED lighting, childrens play area, park benches and a gate (thanks to donations from Sancoale Panchayat Shri Girish Pillai).

The residents of Bharat Nagar personally contributed monies for this and got it done under their own initiative.

Sitting area around the tree in Bharat nagar colony garden was entirely and solely created by residents of Bharat nagar using their own funds with no assistance from the association, panchayat or any politician.

Goa's 60th liberation day celebrated

On the ocassion of Goa's 60th liberation day, and in an effort to promote health, a highly successful fun walk / run was held by the Association and sponsored by Indian Oil Adani Gas Pvt. Ltd. During the event, elect. and water utility maintenance workers were also falicitated.
