Bharatnagar park receives new gate

Thanks to the Panchayat Sarpanc Shri Girish Pillai and the ZP Mrs. Anita Thorat, new gates were fitted at open space in Bharat Nagar Colony. This will effectively prevent entry of vehicles as well as cattle.

Citizen action

Residents of Bharat Nagar Colony cleaned the entire open space of Bharat Nagar. Participants were President Mr Mounish Metti, Mr Hongekar, Mr and Mrs Sakhalkar, Mr AK Das, Mr Iqbal Sheikh, Mr Sharfuddin Shaikh and Mr Mayuresh Vaidya.

De-weeding at Bharatnagar

Deweeding work in progress in Bharat Colony open space. The association and the residents appreciated the efforts by Johnson Pillai and Anand Sakalkar for Supervising the Work.

Installation of gate for the park

Measurement being taken by the Association President bab Monesh Meti, the Secretary bab Ganesh Lamani and the contractor for installation of gate at the Bharat Nagar open space.

Sarpanch meets Bharatnagar residents

In a show of unity, the residents of Bharat Nagar colony attended a productive meeting with the Sarpanch Shree Girish Pillai. The meeting was held in the open space of the colony and various issues affecting the colony were discussed. Also, a letter drafted by the residents was handed over to him.

Pipe repairs

Due to ongoing gas pipe laying work, yesterday, pipe line from main road to Jai Kissan club was broken and it was repaired. Today, pipeline from main road to Mother Theresa colony was puncherd and this too was repaired.

A meeting at Bharat Nagar

Managing committee and Bharat colony representatives met at Bharat Nagar open space for discussion on various issues affecting Bharat Nagar colony. Various solutions were proposed and accepted for prompt action.

Pipeline repaired

Main water pipeline in Sidharth Colony that was leaking for past 7 days was at last repair by PWD today.

Letter to the Panchayat regarding Adani gas road digging.

Meeting with gas pipeline contractor

Minutes of meeting held between the new committee and Adani Gas on the topic of road digging for gas pipe. Adani gas has agreed to:

  1. Not use JCB for digging and instead use a drill machine
  2. Appoint a paid co-ordinator nominated by the committee
  3. Repair the damaged road
  4. Repair water pipes damaged due to their digging.

Gandhi Jayanti celebrated

On the ocassion of Gandhi Jayanti, potholes on MES College road were filled up and traffic mirrors installed. The Gandhiwad team included (from Left), Manav Azrekar, Hanumant Palyekar, Shivam Korgaokar, President bab Santosh Desai and M.R. Naik. Those not in photo but helped included Suresh Gurav, Suresh Naik, Wilfred Fernandes, Shantaram Desai, Raghunath Azrekar, Valmiki Nayak, Vaman Naik, Surendra Naik, Piraji Daulatkar, Yadvesh Ghonge, Sagar Toraskar and Subhash Nayak.

  3. Letter re: Tender coconut vendor creating garbage See letter,
  4. Letter re: Road widening See letter,
  5. Letter re: Power line hanging very low on road and,
  6. Letter re: weed cutting See letter

Audit 2020-21

As per last committee meeting, a new auditor Mr. Jayesh S. Vora M.com, LLB, FCA was appointed as auditor (subject to approval during AGM). Accounts were submitted to him by our treasurer Shri Shantaram Desai. The auditor certified that the accounts were correctly represented and that all rules and regulations were followed.

Yog Shikshika receive recognition

Citizen award

The association presented a memento to Rafique Shaikh Isaac for his selfless service to Aman and Sidharth Colony. Everytime the street lights would fail, he would get them fixed.
